Put down one card
Everyone starts with five lives and a hand of cards. On your turn you play one card onto the pile. That is the whole turn.
You are a process on a network with five lives. Put down the number that was just played and you hit whoever played it. Lose your last life and you are deleted.

You will know how to play before the first round is over. Knowing when to play is the rest of your life.
Everyone starts with five lives and a hand of cards. On your turn you play one card onto the pile. That is the whole turn.
Play the same number as the card just played and whoever played it loses a life. Their life goes to Cyberspace, in the middle of the table.
Lose your last life and you are deleted: NO ENTITY FOUND. The last process still on the network takes the game.
Each number from 1 to 8 has as many copies as its value, and there is a single 0. That shape is the whole game.
A low card is rare, so the odds that anyone holds its match are small. Put down an 8 and you are asking to be hit.

Matches on the same number stack up. The first costs one life, the next costs two, the one after that costs three. Somebody always holds the next 7.
A wild card ends the chain, and so does any number that does not match.
> COXY plays 7.
> ECHO plays 7. HIT: COXY loses 1.
> JPA plays 7. DOUBLE HIT: ECHO loses 2.
> CHEWIE plays 7. HIT x3: JPA loses 3.
Twenty-three wild cards bend the table. CRASH hits the player before you, BACKDOOR the player after. HACKED steals a life. EMP hits everyone at once.
FIREWALL shuts you in, REBOOT pulls a life back out of Cyberspace, and CTRL-Z can be played any time, even out of turn, to undo a hit on you.

When you lose your last life holding cards, you keep one of them. That card is your ghost process, and you can play it once, any time, from beyond the table.
Nobody can hit a ghost. Everybody should worry about one.
> ECHO: 0 lives left.
> NO ENTITY FOUND
> ECHO keeps 1 card.
> ghost process running
