About these terms

These terms cover the NoENT! app and this website, noent.app. NoENT! is made by Dean Chew, an independent developer in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing NoENT!, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

If you got NoENT! from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, Apple's agreement governs your license to the app, and these terms add to it.

Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use NoENT! for your own entertainment on devices you own or control, as the store's rules allow. Please do not copy, modify, sell, rent or redistribute the app, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it to break any law.

Free games and purchases

• Free games. NoENT! includes a number of free games. After that, Unlimited Play removes the game limit.
• One-time purchases. Unlimited Play, Everything and the bundle of the two are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They stay yours and can be restored on your other devices with the same Apple Account using Restore Purchases.
• Everything unlocks every item in the in-game shop at the time you buy it. Items added to the shop later are not included.
• Payment and refunds. All purchases are made and paid for through the App Store, under Apple's terms. We never receive your payment details. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Prices are shown in the App Store in your own currency and may change. Prices on this website are US prices and are a guide only.

Credits

Credits are earned by playing and can also be bought in packs. They are a game currency with no cash value: they can only be spent in the in-game shop, and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred or sold. Credits and everything bought with them are stored on your device. Because NoENT! has no accounts or servers, a credit balance cannot be restored if the app is deleted or the device is lost or reset, and credit packs cannot be restored with Restore Purchases. Items bought with credits may be changed or rebalanced in updates.

Playing with other people

You can play with people nearby over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, or online through Apple's Game Center. Your display name and avatar picture are shown to the other players at your table, so keep them to something you would be happy for anyone to see: nothing offensive, hateful, sexual, or that pretends to be someone else, and nothing you do not have the right to use. We do not run servers, so we cannot see or moderate games, but Apple's own rules apply to Game Center.

This website

The demo at Play a round is free to play in your browser and is a cut-down version of the game. Please do not misuse the site or its contact form, for example by sending spam or trying to break or overload it. How we handle the information you send is described in our privacy policy.

Our content

NoENT!, its name, logo, characters, card designs, artwork, music, sounds and text belong to Dean Chew or are used under license, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Using the app or the site does not give you any rights to them beyond the license above. Apple, App Store and Game Center are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Changes and availability

We may update NoENT! and this website, add or remove features, change the shop, or stop offering them. We will try to keep what you have paid for working, but we cannot promise the app will work on every device or forever.

No warranty

NoENT! and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, progress or credits, and our total liability to you for anything to do with NoENT! or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the app and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your own country, and bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use NoENT! after that means you accept the new terms.
